Main CastsForewordsWang Zi Gui Gui Minor Casts Xiao Yu "Gui! Tomorrow is gonna be a special day for you and me!" Mei Mei squealed in excitement. Gui Gui raised one of her eyebrow and asked, "What day is it?" "Hmmm... Make a guess!" "Hmm... Ah I knew it!" Gui Gui snapped one of her fingers. "Say it!!!" "It's Friday tomorrow! Hooray! The last day of school for this week!!! And lessons are ending at 12pm for everybody!!!" Gui Gui cheered. Mei Mei almost feel off from her chair. "Noooo! You're wrong! It is Wang Zi's birthday tomorrow!!!" Mei Mei gave another squeal again. Her answer made Gui Gui puzzled, "Oh I see. But why is it a special day for me? I am not close with him though we used to be in the same class." Mei Mei almost jumped up from her seat, "What?! You got to be Wang Zi's classmate before?! When is it?!" "Oh, when we used to be in nursery. He was already very popular among the classmates when he was young." Gui Gui said with a straight face. "Argh!" Mei Mei couldn't stand the crappy answers Gui Gui is giving her. "Alright, back to the main point! You are going with me to his birthday party tomorrow." "Me?" Gui Gui pointed to herself. "Nah, I don't want. It's so embarrasing, he didn't even invite me!" "Don't worry!" Mei Mei said cheerfully as she passed her an envelope. Gui Gui took the envelope and opened it. It was an invitation card to Wang Zi's birthday party. It was stated that people who are going for the party should choose smart casual wears, free drinks and food will be served, a wild party will be held in the evening and a lucky girl will be chosen on the spot to have a date with Wang Zi. "What kind of birthday party is this?" Gui Gui said, as she made a disgusted face. "It makes Wang Zi sounds so cheapskate." "What are you saying?" Mei Mei retorted. "Wang Zi may not be rich, but at least his living standards are above average. And this invitation card doesn't comes cheap. It is fifty dollars for one card." This time, it is Gui Gui who jumped up from her seat. "What?! Fifty dollars for one ticket? Are you mad?" Mei Mei was very upset. "I am not mad! The cards are selling like hotcakes! You should thank me for getting a card for you too. Remember to pay me!" "Hey, I didn't say I wanted to go." Mei Mei turned quiet when Gui Gui refused to go with her. It turned out that her eyes were getting watery and she was too sad to argue with Gui Gui even further. Gui Gui started to panic when she noticed Mei Mei was about to cry. She must have really wanted someone to accompany her for the party, most importantly, she must have really like Wang Zi. Gui Gui gave a sigh. "Alright, alright. I will go with you tomorrow." Gui Gui finally gave in while handing a crumpled note to her, a little reluctantly. There goes her savings. Mei Mei looked up and lit up a smile, "Really? Thanks Gui! You are the best!" She gave a tight and warm hug to Gui Gui. . "You are wearing... so casually?" Mei Mei gave a disapproving look when she met up with Gui Gui in the late afternoon. Gui Gui looked at herself, before taking a full glance at Mei Mei's outfit. "Nah..." She said. "You are the one who is wearing more formally than me." Mei Mei was wearing a dark grey tube dress ending up at her thighs, carrying a mini gold handbag and wearing a white pair of high heels. On the other hand, Gui Gui was wearing a piece of green T-shirt, a pair of faded grey jeans and a pair of yellow sneakers. Comparing Mei Mei to Gui Gui, the latter was obviously implying to everyone that she could not be bothered to dress up for the occasion. "Ah whatever." Mei Mei gave up. "Come on, let's go now." "Where is he having his party?" "In a chalet." Mei Mei answered while flagging for a taxi. The taxi came to a halt as they arrived at the chalet. Both of them came out of the taxi after paying, one getting excited, one getting restless. People were already streaming into the chalet. Mei Mei pulled Gui Gui along. "Come on, I don't want to be the last one to enter!" "Your invitation card, please." One of the ushers requested as Mei Mei and Gui Gui reached the gate of the chalet. "Oh, here they are!" Mei Mei smiled, passing two invitation cards to the usher. The usher tore the top part of the invitation cards and gave the bottom parts back to them. "Thanks a lot, have a nice day!" "Sure, thanks!" "I am hungry." Gui Gui grumbled. Mei Mei was trying to find the sight of Wang Zi, said, "Can't you hold your hunger for a while?" "No." Came the direct reply. "Argh... Fine! I'll just accompany you to grab some snacks and drinks." Mei Mei followed Gui Gui to the food corner. Gui Gui cringed as she saw the food that was displayed on the table. Pizzas, pizzas, and still pizzas. "Cheapskate!" Gui Gui said angrily while grabbing the pizzas with a pair of tongs. On-lookers were staring at her as she grabbed the pizzas non-stop. "Okay, Gui Gui! Stop! This is so embarrassing! People are staring at us!" Mei Mei doesn't like the attention showering on them. "We paid fifty dollars for a few slices of pizzas? He did not even have a decent buffet for us!" "Only people who are cheapskate will be so calculative over that few dollars." One of the girls who is watching them, said loudly. Gui Gui was disgusted by her attitude, "Who are you to said that to us?" "My name is Da Ya, and you better remember this name well. Because I am going to be the girl who is going to be chosen to have a date with Wang Zi," She smirked. "Ha.." Gui Gui laughed. "Perfect match! One hungers for the money and one hungers for the looks." "Who are you saying when you say one hungers for the money." A voice popped out from the crowd. People started to gasp as the person revealed yourself. "Wang Zi..." Mei Mei said dreamily. "Well, of course it is you. The action of yours speaks for you. Look at what kind of food you have provided for us. Pizzas? And drinks, super diluted orange juice. You are obviously cheating our money!" "Oh... Hahaha.." Wang Zi laughed. "I see. Now, watch." He snapped his fingers and a second later, his helpers holding a tray each came out from the kitchen of the chalet. The other helpers were clearing away the pizzas and drinks from the table. After clearing it, the tray went down one by one. As they open the food cover of the trays, the crowd went, "Wow!". Japanese food was the theme of the food that day. "Wow!" Someone exclaimed. "Look at the sushi, looks so fresh and delicious!" Once the trays occupied most of the space on the table, another group of helpers came out, holding expensive bottles of champagnes and wines and place it on the table. Wang Zi beamed proudly, "Now... Look, I don't think I am that cheapskate, am I?" This sentence made Gui Gui lost for words. "Okay, everybody, you can enjoy the feast now!" Wang Zi said and this made everyone cheered as they dashed for the delicious and expensive food in front of them. "Wang Zi, how about this pizzas?" One of the helpers asked as they pointed to the pizzas they are holding. "Oh, give them to the girl down there. She seems to like it so much." Wang Zi pointed at Gui Gui as he walked into one of the rooms. "Gr... Arrogant freak!" Gui Gui cursed in her thoughts. Once the dinner was over, everyone was getting warm up for the wild party. The loud music was on, causing everyone to dance madly, scream loudly, most importantly, getting their spirits high. A guy was not feeling good that night, as he saw Wang Zi chatting with a bunch of beautiful girls. Yes, it was none other than his brother, Mao Di. Mao Di, Wang Zi's younger brother, was jealous of the attention Wang Zi is having. How can he be so popular? Both of them are brothers, yet he is always lacking behind his older brother, in terms of looks, studies, popularity and so on. He seemed to pale in comparison. While the party was going wild, his hand fished out a little container from his pocket, containing some pills in it. "I will see how long you will last..." Mao Di thought. . "Now, for the most exciting moment for today. Who is going to be the lucky girl to have a romantic date with our charming Prince?" Ah Wei, one of the friends in Wang Zi's clique, volunteered to become the host for his party today. Girls were cheering loudly while hoping that they would be the lucky girl that night, all except for Gui Gui. She can't wait to leave this sickening place. On the other hand, Mei Mei looked very down. Looking around, you could see girls that are prettier than her, how can she not lose confident? She bit her lips, trying not to pin her hopes to high. Gui Gui noticed that she was sad and cheer her up, "Don't worry. This kind of jerk is not suitable for you. It would be better if you don't even get together with him in the first place." Mei Mei nodded her head weakly. All she hoped was to leave the place once Ah Wei announced the name. "Thanks for all your entries, ladies. I can assured you that Wang Zi really had a hard time choosing his princess." Ah Wei explained. "Now... The lucky girl.... is......." Everybody held their breath, waiting for the answer they have longed to hear. "Mei Mei!!!" Ah Wei announced the answer, dashing every girl's hope, yes, including Gui Gui. She was hoping that Mei Mei would not be chosen, and she was quite confident. Yet the unexpected answer dashed her hope, she doesn't want Mei Mei to have the chance to get closed to Wang Zi, because she felt that Wang Zi is not a good guy. And the most worrying part is Mei Mei would get hurt if Wang Zi betrayed her when they become an item. Wang Zi, trying to be a gentleman, went up to Mei Mei, held her hand and kissed it. Mei Mei almost died on the spot. Girls were green with envy, feeling that Wang Zi's taste is really bad. There are other girls who are much better than Mei Mei, and yet Wang Zi still choose her? "I can't believe she is the lucky girl." Da Ya gritted her teeth, glaring at Mei Mei. "Fine, I may not be good enought for Wang Zi. But what about Apple? Isn't she the prettiest among the girls? Everyone thought she would win!" Apple, a good friend of Da Ya, gave a smile and said,"It's okay, it's Wang Zi decision anyway. We can't blame anyone, can we?" Inside her heart, of course, she was not thinking in this manner. She was very confident that the lucky girl would be her, everyone else was casting votes on her before the name was announced. It was a disappointing moment for her. "Everyone thought it would be me. And yet, I loses to someone else, who can't even be compared to me! This is just too much!" Apple thought angrily. "Thanks for being present, everyone! I am sure Wang Zi has a good time celebrating his birthday with all of you. Have a good rest tonight! Goodbye!" Ah Wei ended his speech, declaring the closure of the party. . Mei Mei was allowed to stay in the chalet that night, other than Wang Zi, his family and friends. Gui Gui was also staying with her, after getting the approval from Wang Zi. She wanted to protect Mei Mei from Wang Zi, if he decided to advantage of her. "Excuse me, I am bringing Mei Mei to my room for a while." Wang Zi came into their room. Mei Mei's heartbeat went a few times faster when she saw Wang Zi. He's too handsome to resist. "For what?" Gui Gui immediately suspected Wang Zi was up to no good. "Don't worry, I won't do anything bad to her. Since she is chosen, I feel that it is only right I spend some time with her, apart from the date we are going tomorrow. Right, Mei Mei?" Wang Zi flashed his smile, and Mei Mei nodded her head shyly. "Gui Gui, I will be fine! Wang Zi is a good guy!" Mei Mei assured as she walked out of the room with Wang Zi. Gui Gui sighed, hoping that there will not be any problems happening. Well, Mei Mei definitely won't encounter any trouble, but for Gui Gui, it's hard to say, isn't it?
It was almost midnight. Wang Zi and Mei Mei were strolling along the park. It was one of the happiest moment for Mei Mei, considering that she was spending her time with a guy she likes. Every girl must be envying her now. However, for Wang Zi, he could not be bother with her. He chose her just because he wanted to spite Gui Gui, as simple as that. He could not stand her eyes focusing on him. "Wang Zi..." Mei Mei spoke shyly. Wang Zi gave a frustrated reply, "What?" "I... am very happy and touched that you chose me over so many girls... It is a honour for me. Really!" She spilled out all the words from her heart. "Oh." His reply gave an indication that he was not interested to hear her talk. Sadly, Mei Mei doesn't get the hint and tried to dig out more topics to know more about him. "So... do you think we could step over the friendship boundary?" She asked, full of hope in her heart. "No." The one word reply was strong enough to stop her from thinking too far ahead. "Why..?" Her hopes turned into a pail of disappointment. She was expecting a positive reply from him. Her confidence was just rising. Yet that one word was enough to crash her hopes down deeply. Irritated with her questions, he decided to come clean with her, "Look, I choose you not because I like you over all the other girls. I choose you to spite your friend. Don't think too much. I know I'm in the wrong for hurting you. So I am telling you that I am very sorry but I will never choose you." The words shot like the darts into her heart. This was the answer she least wanted to hear. Hot tears flowed down her eyes as she ran off. Wang Zi stared at her running helplessly. Although he was really irritated by her "hopes", he didn't really want to hurt her. "So much for trying to spite that friend of hers..." He gave a sigh. . "Owww..." Gui Gui was clutching on her poor stomach which was going crazy. This tummyache of hers had hurt her so much. She had been going to the toilet for many times but she was sure that the virus in her tummy was still there. She crawled out of the room to search for the medicine to cure the pain. "Must be that pizza!" She thought. Mao Di happened to saw her crawling on the floor in pain and went up to her. "Miss, what happened?" Mao Di helped her up to the sofa. "I have a tummyache, do you have any medicine?" Gui Gui asked. Mao Di recalled her coming out of the room. It was no ordinary room. It was the room that was specially cater for the lucky lady that night. Mao Di was not present when Wang Zi was choosing his lucky lady and so he thought Gui Gui was the lucky lady his brother chose. An evil plan came to his mind. "Oh yes, I have it here." He took the pills out from his pocket and gave it to her. "This pills can aid.. umm.. your digestion. To entirely clear off all the waste in your intestines." He lied. "Can you give me more? This is for preparation, in case my tummyache acts up in the middle of the night again." He fished out for more pills without hesitation. "Thanks a lot..." Gui Gui walked slowly back into the room, getting ready to take the pills. "I wonder what would happen tomorrow." Mao Di smirked. . Mei Mei burst into the room while crying when Gui Gui was resting. Shocked by her emotions, Gui Gui get up from the bed and asked her what has happened. "He's a jerk! He's a jerk!" Mei Mei shouted out through her sobs. She grabbed the bag and ran out of the chalet. Gui Gui was not able to stop her in time. "Urgh! I'm going to have my revenge." Hatred could be seen through her eyes. She looked at the pills on the table. She took all of the pills and decided to spike it in Wang Zi's drink. She was determined to give Wang Zi a diarrhea as a punishment. Tiptoeing into his room, she found a mug filled with orange juice on his table. She dumped all the pills into it and stir to dissolve the drug in the drink. "Mei Mei, I will get this revenge back for you!"
"I'm back!" Wang Zi shouted to his friends once he entered the chalet. Ah Wei, who heard his voice, came out from the room and was surprised that Wang Zi came back alone. "Where's Mei Mei?" He asked. Wang Zi gave a frustrated look and said, "Long story, I think she is in her room crying now." He still does not know that Mei Mei has left and Gui Gui is alone in that room. "Why?" "I told her truthfully I choose her to spite that friend of hers." "What a dumbass you are." Ah Wei scolded. "How can you be such a jerk and break someone's heart?" "I am lazy to explain. I am so thirsty now." Wang Zi said as he walked to his room. "Are you coming over to play cards with us?" Ah Wei asked. Wang Zi wagged his finger before going back to his room. . "My goodness! Why I am feeling so hot?" Gui Gui said as she started to wipe her sweat. The air-conditioner has already been lowered for several times. On the other hand, Wang Zi was feeling even warm. "What the hell! Did the air-conditioner break down or something?!" True enough, the remote control of the air-conditional is spoiled. No matter how much times Wang Zi pressed and hit the remote control in anger, it just refused to work. "Damn..." The thought of travelling to the another room to take the remote control tires him. The nearest room from his room is Mei Mei's room. "Nevermind, this is my chalet! I don't have to be scared of facing her!" Wang Zi calmed himself down before going there. But I guess, going to that room that night was a mistake he would never like to make. . Gui Gui noticed there were some door movements and sit up straight. When Wang Zi entered the room, she flew into a rage and shouted, "JERK!" Wang Zi jumped up at her loud voice and hisses, "Shut up! Do you want the whole world to know that you are shouting!" "Yes!" She continued shouting. "I want the whole world to know so that no more girls will be hurt by you!" "Yeah whatever!" He said as his sweat starts to fall. He walked to the side table where the remote control was and was about to take it when Gui Gui slapped his hand away. "Go away!" "Don't be stupid, I am taking the remote control!" Wang Zi tried to grab her hand to stop her from hitting him. "Let me go!" She tried to free herself but was in no avail. "Stop hitting me!" The arguement got softer and softer as time passes. And from what I know, Wang Zi did not come out from that room that night.
Wang Zi woke up, feeling extremely cold. It must be the low temperature of the air-conditioner that makes him feel so cold. He stretched himself promptly while taking the remote control to increase the temperature. Stiffling a yawn, he went back to sleep. "Wait a minute.." He thought. Looking down at himself, he realised that he was practically naked. Horrified, thoughts started to feel him in about what has happened last night. He was feeling extremely warm in his room. He came into this room to take the remote control. He did not go back to his room. Why? Turning his head slowly, the most unexpected reply hit him strongly. Gui Gui was lying beside him. "No.... This can't be happening!!! I... slept with her?!" Just as he was recollecting back his thoughts, Gui Gui woke up. The first thing she saw was the naked Wang Zi. Her jaws dropped and she immediately focused her attention back to her body. Looking back at Wang Zi, she screamed, "WAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" . Everyone gathered inside Wang Zi's room, including Wang Zi and Gui Gui, who of course wore back their clothes. Gui Gui was sobbing uncontrollably and Wang Zi looked extremely disturbed. Mao Di was exceptionally pleased. Ah Wei and Ao Quan were there to solve the matter for them. “Now, let me think. Both of you claim that under normal circumstances, both of you will not even consider erm.. sleeping with each other that night. So I think that during last night, both of you were drunk.” Ao Quan said. Wang Zi shook his head while saying, “I didn’t even have any wine last night. But I know I feel extremely warm though, and maybe a little giddy.” “What about you? Do you feel warm and giddy last night?” Ah Wei asked Gui Gui. Gui Gui wiped away her tears and nodded her head. “Not drunk.. How about someone spiked your drink during the party?” Ao Quan said. Wang Zi thought before voicing out his opinion, “I don’t think so… My last sip of water was at around six o’clock. I don’t think the effects of the pill will take place that slow.” “Hmm…” Ao Quan was deep in thoughts when Wang Zi suddenly jumped up. “WAIT! My last sip of water was not at six. It was at twelve midnight! Remember? I was taking Mei Mei out for a walk and came back. So I drank my orange juice!” Before everyone could react, Gui Gui suddenly spoke,”I spike your drink.” “WHAT?!” Everyone shouted in disbelief in unison. “Let me explain. I was having stomach upset that night and I was offered some pills which were claimed that it will help clearing out all the waste. After taking one, I found out that the jerk has bullied Mei Mei, so I spike his drink, thinking that he will start to have diarrhea once he drink.” Gui Gui explained while knowing who was the main culprit. “And the one who passed me the pills is him!” She pointed her finger confidently at Mao Di. “What..? Rub..bish! Where’s your proof? Huh?!” Mao Di started to stammer. “Everyone.. All of you know me more than you know her! How can we trust her words?” “Coward! You are a coward!” Gui Gui screamed, fearing that everyone will start to believe him. Afterall, the rest are Wang Zi’s friends, who more or less know Mao Di. Everyone was confused and surprised that where things are going now. They almost believed what Mao Di said. However, Wang Zi was very calm now. “Why not? You claimed that we know you more than we know her. And of course, I know that you have been jealous of what I have these few years. Although I dislike her a lot, I know it’s vice versa. She hates me a lot too so there will be no way that she will want to sleep with me.” Wang Zi said calmly. Mao Di was very angry now, “You believed what a stranger said rather than your own brother?” “I would love to, but if someone who does not even take me as his own brother and wants to plot his revenge on me, it would be correct that this person has taken me as an enemy.” Wang Zi said. He was very saddened that his own brother has already taken him as an enemy. “Yeah, yeah! I am the one who caused what has happened! Are you happy now?! You deserved what has happened now!” Mao Di screamed before running out of the chalet. Ao Quan wanted to give chase but Wang Zi stopped him, “Let him be. I don’t want to see him anymore.” |
